Ray Ceo Jr. created iREADray as a way to continue his love of storytelling and opinion writing.

RAY CEO JR.

Ray Ceo Jr. graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in Creative Writing. During his tenure in college, he was a well-received, and popular columnist for the college newspaper “the State Press.” In 2007, he was awarded the first place “Mark of Excellence” award for a series of columns he wrote, presented by the Society of Professional Journalists. 

From there, he launched the very start of the iREADray blog in 2010. This blog has had a readership of over 150,000 people since it’s inception. Ray has also written the Echo Magazine, Unicorn Booty, and his work has appeared in the Arizona State Library Association’s digital publications, the Glendale Daily Planet, Glendale Daily Star, East Valley Tribune, San Tan Sun News, the Arizona Republic and more. A passionate activist, Ray has fought extensively for LGBT rights.

Ray was named one of the top 30 under 30 most influential activists by Echo Magazine in 2008. Ray currently resides in the Phoenix area with his two dogs, who, he has recently trained to sit during quarantine, and quite proud of accomplishing. He is busy writing and has several fiction and nonfiction books underway.
